As the sun slipped behind the hills of northern Chile, copper miner Tomás headed home with dusty boots and thoughts of a warm bath. He left his work clothes by the door and settled into the water, washing away the day as the rich, resinous scent of myrrh filled the room. For a little while, the mines could wait.
