Sweet Peach Menagerie is a whimsical little world filled with charming creatures, peachy hues, and playful personality. Equal parts cozy and curious, it celebrates the sweetness of everyday life—with a little mischief tucked in.

One morning, James decided that a small slice of his giant peach would make the most wonderful peach-scented soap.

He fetched a ladder, three buckets, and a knife.

“You’re giving our home a haircut?” asked Centipede.

“Just a little off the side,” James promised.

As he cut into the peach, sweet juice trickled down the ladder and into his boots. Ladybird caught the peach pieces in a bucket while Earthworm supervised from what he believed was a safe distance.

“One bucket, two buckets—oh dear. I’m in the third bucket.”

After rescuing Earthworm, James took the fruit to the village soap maker. Together, they made great loaves of peach-scented soap.

To cut the loaves into bars, James built a peculiar contraption entirely from old bicycle parts and guitar strings. A bicycle frame held the strings taut, while a pedal turned a wheel that guided each loaf through them.

“Does it work?” asked Ladybird.

James turned the pedal. The strings hummed, the wheel squeaked, and a neat row of soap bars emerged.

“It works in the key of peach,” declared Centipede.

They set the bars aside to cure. Centipede visited every morning.

“Soap yet?”

“Not yet.”

“Soap yet?”

“You asked three minutes ago.”

At last, James returned with a basket of finished soaps, wrapped in paper and tied with string. Their sweet scent drifted through the garden.

Centipede claimed the first bar. By lunchtime, he had washed six feet. By teatime, twenty-three. By sunset, he lay on his back beside a very small sliver of soap.

“Next time,” he sighed, “I’m starting with my face.”

James hung a sign beside the giant peach:

SWEET PEACH MENAGERIE
Peachy little soaps. A little everyday magic.

Beneath it, Centipede added:

ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR FEET.
